magazine (formerly bi-monthly) published by Health Forum. The
publication, which has a circulation of 130,000-plus, covers
the business side of the health care industry. Managed magazine's
departments, which entailed issue planning, assigning stories,
editing, writing headlines and captions, and checking page proofs
and bluelines. Worked closely with the managing editor, production
coordinator, graphic designer, and both freelance and in-house
writers. Supervised one staff writer.

Managing editor
of California Physician, a monthly, four-color magazine
published by the California Medical Association. The 30,000-plus
circulation publication covered socio-economic issues that affect
California doctors. Supervised a staff of two editor/writers,
a production coordinator/classified advertising salesperson,
and a display advertising salesperson. Did content and copy editing,
editorial planning and story assignment, magazine production,
and managed the publication's $500,000 budget.

Newsletter editor of Material Matters, the monthly newsletter
of the Illinois Recycling Association. Produced this project
on a freelance basis. Wrote stories, edited articles provided
by the association's staff, and did the desktop publishing work,
